Start with the whole period.
A month away, a summer base or a longer stay can call for a different brief from a weekend hire. Tell us where the car will be kept, how regularly you will drive it, expected mileage and whether the dates are fixed.
Long-term hire is our enquiry category for a month or more. Any minimum commitment, renewal, extension or early-return terms belong to the particular operator’s agreement. We do not offer regulated finance or credit arrangements.
| Your plan | The question to resolve |
|---|---|
| One month | Is a fixed period or a rolling arrangement appropriate? |
| Several months | What is the full-period charge and payment schedule? |
| A year | Can an operator quote the entire term, with the intended mileage? |
| A changing itinerary | Can location, vehicle or return arrangements change, and at what cost? |
Compare the same things.
A monthly headline is useful only when the underlying terms match. One quote might include the mileage you need while another makes it an extra. A delivery request may also alter the total. Ask for a written breakdown that you can compare directly.
- Exact model, variant and the substitution policy.
- Start and end dates, payment schedule and extension terms.
- Mileage allowance and the charge for exceeding it.
- Insurance conditions, excess, exclusions and driver eligibility.
- Deposit amount, payment method and release conditions.
- Maintenance responsibilities, breakdown support and replacement arrangements.
- Delivery, collection, taxes and any agreed agent commission.
Changing the car is a request, not an assumption.
If the appeal is a Ferrari for one period and something entirely different for the next, say so at the beginning. We can investigate the structure that fits, but a standard hire agreement does not automatically include vehicle changes.
The same applies to an extension. A car may be committed elsewhere after your return date. Flexibility is a term to establish, not a benefit to infer from the word “monthly”.
What a longer hire budget means.
Our form asks for the budget for the full hire period, before commission and other separately explained costs. It does not ask for a daily or monthly rate. If your figure is monthly, make that clear in the notes so the brief can be corrected before the search.
Published operator examples show why duration matters: PB Supercars advertises both rolling monthly and fixed-period options. Those are that operator’s offers, not our inventory or a promise of availability. For dated figures and a worked calculation, see our hire costs guide.
Know who handles what.
We research options, make the enquiries and help clarify the comparison. The hire operator confirms eligibility, provides the hire agreement and establishes the vehicle’s insurance and operating conditions. Inspection at collection and the return process should be understood before you proceed.
We can investigate delivery and collection requests. The locations, permissions, timing and charges must be confirmed for the specific arrangement.
The fee, before the search.
Our commission is 10–20%, capped at 20%, agreed upfront and payable when the agreed deal is completed. Before work begins, we agree the scope, rate, calculation base, payer and completion point. Any seller or operator commission is disclosed before you commit.
Vehicle or hire charges, deposits, inspections, delivery and other costs are separate unless expressly included. Our enquiry minimum is 5,000 in your selected currency: GBP, EUR or USD. This is a search budget, not a promise that a particular car is achievable at that amount.
Read how the commission works.
A few questions.
Is insurance included?
That depends on the operator’s written quotation and policy conditions. Inclusion of insurance does not eliminate excess, exclusions or eligibility checks.
Can I drive into another country?
Only where the operator and relevant cover allow it. Tell us every intended country; permission must be confirmed before the trip.
Can I change cars each month?
We can investigate that request. It is not an automatic feature of every longer hire.
Will a year cost twelve times the monthly price?
Not necessarily. Ask for a quotation for the full term rather than treating a short-period headline as an annual offer.
